Tropical rain in Pattaya can change an evening plan quickly, especially if you were planning to walk by the beach or spend most of the night outdoors. But a rainy evening does not have to mean staying in your hotel.
The city has plenty of cafés, restaurants, gaming spots and smaller lounges where you can wait out the rain without cancelling the evening completely.
1. Find somewhere comfortable and wait out the heaviest rain
If the rain starts suddenly, trying to cross the whole city immediately is not always the best option. Find a nearby café, restaurant or lounge bar, order a drink and give the weather some time.
